Activity 1
Respond to the following questions regarding Digital Citizenship in the discussion board: Why is it important to teach students about Digital Citizenship? What are some key topics you should discuss when teaching students about being safe online? How will you inform parents that you are teaching Digital Citizenship at school and encourage them to talk with their children about internet safety outside of school?
Activity 2
Make a video, slideshow or book using one of the following Web 2.0 Tools that will introduce students to Chromebook procedures. You are welcome to use any other resource you'd like as well.
- Free 30 second Animoto video:
- Free Haiku Deck slideshow:
- Little Bird Tales:
Your slideshow must include at least 6 Chromebook procedures. See the "Learn" section of Topic 6 for suggestions.
Activity 3
For this activity you will create a plan for how you will introduce the Chromebooks to your students and use the devices throughout the year. Open and rename this Google Spreadsheet (lastname_Chromebook Integration Plan). Fill in your ideas for what you hope to accomplish each day of the first week and then each month.
This integration map is an initial plan that can be changed as you move throughout the year.
Activity 4
Return to Topic 6 to complete the "Self Reflection." After you've completed this assignment, you are finished with this course! If you have questions, I am available by email. Good luck and have fun!
