Activity 1

Visit the Chrome Web Store. Find five apps that you could use in your classroom. Three of the five must fit the criteria below

  • A content area app that students could play if they finish an assignment early.
  • A content area app that engages higher order thinking skills.
  • An app that teaches typing skills.

In a Discussion Board post, list the five apps that you found. For each app, include the app name, a link to the app, a brief description (1-2 sentences),  if applicable, how it fits one of the criteria listed above, and how it will be used in your classroom.

Activity 2

Visit this shared Google Spreadsheet which lists various Web 2.0 tools and websites. It is expected that you will visit at least five of the sites and add comments regarding what you liked, didn't like, would like to learn more about, or how you could use it in your classroom. Feel free to add to the list of resources and add comments.

Activity 3

Create a Symballoo page that you will share with your students. Include links to any websites that they may need to access. This could include Reading Street pages, the district home page, your personal website, Today's Meet, etc.

You must include at least 6 websites. Share the link to this site with me with the understanding that this page is not finished, but a work in progress.
