Activity 1
Now that you have a basic understanding of a Chromebook, visit the Discussion Board to reflect on your own uses of Google Chrome and Chromebooks.
Answer the following questions:
- Have you ever used the Google Chrome Browser before? If yes, what have your experiences been? Did you know you could log in to access your bookmarks from anywhere? If no, which internet browsers have you used in the past and why have you used those?
- Prior to taking this course, have you ever used a Chromebook? Which devices have you used with students in the past? How did you use those devices? (Word processing, internet research, visiting websites such as Spelling City, etc)
- Have you ever used Google Drive or Google Apps?
- How comfortable do you feel using Chromebooks with your students? What would make you feel more comfortable?

Activity 2
This video (created specifically for this course) will give you step by step directions for creating a new Google Account using your school email address.
- Click here to create your own Google Account with your school email account.
- Once you have created your own Google account, visit Google.com and sign into your new account using your school email and password. (See photo below)
3. Once you are in your Gmail account, send an email to hgascon@inghamisd.org from that account. In the subject line, type: Google School Account Created. You do no need to add any text to the body of the message.
