Sessioon 2: Moodle on an iPad

Get Adobe Flash player

Moodle is great for flipping your classroom and creating an online environment that can be utilized with the iPad or other tablets.

Today we will be using Safari or the web browser of your choosing.  Below are some additional apps that we will be using. Simply click or tap on the icon to learn more and download these apps.

First step, pick the correct theme for your course:

If you are creating a course that will be utilized by mobile users you will want to pick the correct theme.  In Moodle there is an option to utilize a web theme making classes online easier to view on your mobile device.

Adding a Moodle Course Page Link to Homepage:

In order to make your Moodle course easy to get to, you will want to set the site as an icon on your iPad or iPhone using the Safari web browser. To do set a web page as a home page icon, simply click on the square with the arrow pointing out (see below).

Once you click on the “Add to Home Screen” option you will need to give your icon a name.  Type in the icon text box naming your icon and then click the “Add” option. You will now have an icon added to your home screen which will take you to your Moodle course.
